This Privacy Policy explains how GetSkillsTech.com (the “Site”), operated by Skills Tech Talk, LLC (“Skills Tech,” “we,” “us”), handles information. The Site is an umbrella marketing and information surface: it describes the Skills Tech products and routes you to them. It does not host accounts, process payments, or run the products themselves.
When you start a diagnostic, download an app, request a team pilot, or otherwise continue to a product (for example SkillsTech Certified, Skills Tech Talk, OpenThunder, Repo Mastery, Workspace, or Communities), you leave this Site and that product handles your data under its own privacy policy. This policy covers only the Site.
Information we collect
We keep data collection minimal. On this Site we collect:
- Usage and device data through analytics: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, referring website, approximate location (derived from IP, not precise), and general device and browser information.
- Information you choose to send us, such as the content of an email if you contact support.
We do not collect account credentials, payment or card details, or government identifiers on this Site, and we do not ask you to submit personal information through forms here. Actions like “Start Free Diagnostic” are links that hand you off to a product.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how the Site is used and which products interest visitors. Google Analytics loads only if you accept in the cookie banner shown on your first visit; until then, and if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Vercel Analytics measures aggregate traffic without cookies and without identifying you. You can also control or clear cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s browser opt-out add-on.
How we use information
We use this information to operate and improve the Site, understand which pages and products visitors find useful, measure the performance of our messaging, and keep the Site secure. We use it in aggregate; we do not build advertising profiles about you on this Site.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with: our analytics providers (Google and Vercel), which process it under their own terms; service providers that host and deliver the Site; and, when required, to comply with law or protect our rights. When you continue to a Skills Tech product, that product receives whatever information you provide to it directly, under its own policy.
Links and product hand-offs
The Site links to Skills Tech products and to third-party sites (such as app stores and developer resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of destinations you reach by following those links. Review the privacy policy of each product or site you visit.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to our analytics providers’ standard retention settings. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to respond and for our records.
Your choices and rights
You can decline or clear cookies and opt out of Google Analytics as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information we hold about you. Because this Site holds only limited analytics data and does not maintain user accounts, such requests are correspondingly limited; product-level data requests should be directed to the relevant product. Children
The Site is intended for a professional, adult audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Where information is processed
The Site is delivered through a global content network and hosted infrastructure, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be processed in locations with different data-protection laws than your own.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
